Harry Cowles Mann was one of Norfolk’s early twentieth century photographers whose works have survived in relative completeness. During his career as a commercial photographer, Mann offered panoramic photography as a service. He typically photographed visiting conventions and commercial interests, but Mann also photographed for artistic expression. The photographs in this collection are from the 1910s and are geographically limited to Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Princess Anne County, Norfolk County, and Hampton, Virginia. Please view the SMC Photograph Collection and the Carroll Walker Collection to see other photographs taken by Harry C. Mann. To view even more of Harry C.
